I just chose 4 points and made a polygon, but its not the default color, its dark, and when I label it, its still dark.

Also, I flipped it, but no change.

Whats going on?

What happens if you triple the polygon ?

It might be "degenerate". Try merging points and if that doesn't fix it, then try the unify polygon tool.
I Can't tell you exactally where those tools are under Modelers default interface. Mine's been totally modified and very little if anything is at default.

Yeah., This is usually the appearance of a non-planer poly.

Black polygon means that normal vector of polygon was calculated wrong.. It happens when 2 or more points are in same location.. You think that it's 4 points polygon, but in reality it's 5 or more points polygon.. Use Merge Points or Weld Points.. in Polygon Statistics window, or after pressing 'i', you can see that it's really 5+ points polygon..

Guys, thanks for your help, it was a weld point problem.

I think that there should be a plugin made to select/find any degenerate poly's and fix them!! Also, a listing for them in the Statistics Panel for Poly's would be nice, as it does happen fairly often and easily. But, I'm not a programmer, so maybe someone who has the savvy would consider giving it a go??

You can use the non-planar selection to zone in on them, but it might catch others that will be fine when sub-patched.
