View Full Version : The Parented Eyeball that flies away...

I tried Proton's eye setup using the Follower. Very nice and all. BUT, when I go to parent my eyeball (so as to keep it IN the head) it jumps out of the head.

Now, before I'd just make an eye null, move it to the front of the character, and make that eye null the goal object of the eyeball. Then, parent the eye to one of the head bones. No muss, no fuss, no cuss.

I just wonder why the Follower way of doing it isn't doing it for me! Any suggestions? My character is facing down the z+ axis too.

Why would you need to parent the eyeball using follower? :)

If I don't parent the eyeball it won't stay in my character's head. If I go to make my guy nod the eyes won't move but the head will. I'm not using any bones in the eye. How else can I keep my eyes in my head? I must be missing something obvious here.

Just parent it, but don't use follower.

That would be the obvious thing you were missing :)
