In trying to animate something, and searching here, I came upon mention of a plug in called Trailer which looks like exactly what I need, yet when I go the site, I can't actually download this little goodie!

Here's the site: maybe it's just me?

http://www.dstorm.co.jp/english/plugin/displace.htm#Trailer

any help?

thanks!

You need to click on the Windows or Mac Icon, not the Trailer link...

Hey, it could be worse. The plugin could have actually been gone!

what does the plugin do?

there's a little movie clip on their site which shows what it does...

it's a kind of special effect in which an object, following a path, leaves a blurry trail behind as it moves.

at least, that's what the clip shows.

Actually, it distorts the object it's applied to based on the path it is told to follow. Real handy for tubing or any flexible object that must follow a route. I used it for a medical device which had to follow the nasal cavity awhile ago. Worked great.
