View Full Version : Nodal bug? "IFF file writing failed" corrupts objects! :(

IFF file writing failed

An IFF file chunk exceeded 65535 bytes.
If using Node Editor, shorten the names of your nodes.

It only occurs when try to Save Current Object - and most importantly it corrupts the object file!

We aren't even renaming any nodes, we just leave them as is. Are we the only ones to suffer this?

If we rename the names of the nodes to just a few characters it does indeed work fine. This seems a bit limiting. :thumbsdow

Bump. I'm getting this error, and the surface isn't even that complicated...I just used the "compound" node, and now if I save my model, it gets corrupted. I can't save out a standalone .srf file either. Oh boy...

Post a node tree screen grab? Did you see the other thread on this?

Another problem with compound node is that sliders doesn't save in scene if there is object that have compound node in their surface.
