We all know how well Joe Alter's "Shave and a Haircut" plugin has done over the past few years...adopted by Maya, Max, XSI, and C4D.

Well, he's at it again with a version of his plugin, LipService, which has a new sculpting/painting toolset (as a single modifier) that brings near Mudbox or ZBrush functionality inside 3ds Max.

One additional reason I would like to see Newtek get ahead of the curve in this area and hire Andrew to integrate a version of 3D-Coat within LW in the not so distant future.

impressive stuff. It looks very well designed and laid out.

It's easy to see how; It's functionality within the host environment, will be a huge selling point.

Lightwave would need a huge boost, in it's capacity for editing high polygon meshes. Before anything like that could be useful inside Lightwave.

Man...

Should see if it still works...

With all we've lost, just the losses would be nice to have back.

Gonna go grumble about this elsewhere...

Agree... Modeler combined with a painting / sculpting module as good as 3D Coat is an irresistable proposition.

It was a sad day Joe's Shave and a Haircut was no longer available for Lightwave.
