View Full Version : OT: Vista and the latest Nvidia Drivers

Yesterday I updated my nvidia graphics drivers to the latest set, for the 8 series, Vista x64, from Nvidia's site.
Overall I seem to be getting better and quicker response from my video card now. maybe I'm imagining that, but it at least seems that way.
I haven't had any troubles with any OpenGL apps or DX 9 or 10 games, but one weird thing has changed...
In Vista, when a program is opened and in the taskbar, mousing over it gives a small preview of the window. AT least it used to, but won't since I updated the drivers. Flip 3D works fine though, as do all the other Vista features. No big deal, but just kind of odd.
Anyone else run across this? Neverko?

No problems here with that feature. I am running the latest WHQL drivers.

I just can't get it to work, period.
Like I said, it's no big deal and all else seems just fine, but I just can't let go when I run across some weird computer mystery. It's gonna bug me to no end until I find out why or get it fixed. ;)

No issues here with the latest WHQL drivers for Vista x64.

They are the best drivers so far. So fast...

OK, so it's not just my imagination I guess. There is actually a speed increase in response.
The problem I was talking about just went away after another reboot.
