I ended up with layer being on different uv "maps".. (uv texture, obj_uvtexture, ect)

Is there any way to consolidate these all to one map name easily?

use copy uv and then paste uv. You have to select the polys and the relevant map
to paste uv's properly.

Because you exported your object as OBJ and reimported?
You can always add new objects to your existing UV map by using the same name for the map, with only your new objects, parts or surfaces selected, though you'll have to move things around to keep from overlapping.

No, everythings in layers currently, but different tools have a default uv map naming preference.

I've never gotten copy and paste uvs to work properly.. maybe a good time to try it out?
