Let's see...Dodgy has some sort of obsession with Lscripts. He writes way too many of them for comfort.

Dexter2999 works on movies...big movies...blockbuster movies.

Walfridson writes plugins as well.

And Steamthrower? Let's just say he's the top dog amongst dogs. :D

Surrealist.

Then there is Spinegod: www.spinegod.com

Celshader: www.celshader.com

Way too many other talented people to mention. Hang for a while, you'll see.

Then there's Maud...err Me

Whom you probably won't see much around here as I am heavily medicated to keep my dynamics anxieties down to a barely tolerable level.

welcome :beerchug:

Let me see… huh… I'm 41 y.o., I'm an independent movie producer, writer, movie director, orchestral / instrumental music composer (mainly to movie soundtracks), audio engineer (I own an audio recording studio), and I'm a 3D/VFX small team director. I'm presently involved in 2 different movies production.
I am an unconditional fan of good sci-fi movies/stories.

I use to rumble :cursin: a lot about Newtek obvious and screaming faults regarding Lightwave developing process, but that's another story … anyway… welcome aboard! :beerchug:

I forgot to mention Prospector . Not because he's not worth mentioning (by no means!) but because I thought everybody knew who he was.

Yeah...that's right.

"Hi... I'm cute_cube, I'm from half a world away in Africa... but let's not bore you with that stuff..."

Um, dude, that is NOT in any WAY boring! ;-)

I'm in Souther California, you know, near Hollywood? (And no, it really isn't all the cool, acutally) Somebody has mentioned everyone I was going to mention as to people.

But, who are you? how old are you? What are your aspirations and goals? Do you think you'll be able to get into the FX community in your country. I know that Zimbabwe has a thriving film community (Alex Lindsay of the Pixel Corps. regularly goes to there) but the piracy rate is so great that films only have about a 2 week window to make any money, so they make very little.

So... tell your story please. I'LL be fascinated.

We all have huge meshes here. In fact, we compare each other's 'worth' by the size of our meshes. :D

THANKS everybody for the Welcome.
let me just relax and drop a biography.

am 24,did IT,then moved to graphics just some photo editing in photoshop....illustrator....indesign...premier...a fter effects...macromedia. worked for an ISP as a junior web developer.
learnt CGI from the lw8 documentary, I just had to learn each and every funny word I came across. and the rest on the net.
as of now am a freelancer graphical designer. But I concentrate more in CGI

up here we dont have any film companies,no movie theaters, just advertising agencies.
but you walk in town you wont see any of their work most good work is done by freelancers.there is one successful CG artist that I know of.
I have just got a company name registered (BREEZE is the name).
there are a couple of guys that I know that can draw(fine art)

But am hoping to get some papers for CG.

if you need an expanded version just say the word :)

oh sorry, the word = if you ask for more details I can write more of them details about me.
so tell me, the details about zimbabwe and their film industry thats something I didnt know.
and what do you think my next move should be about my company I need some strategical planning.
My goal is to try to get publicity, reputation, and the right people.
but soon if possible an education institution. just to bring out those talents.
