You may have seen the animation on the news of the Phoenix landing. All LightWave by Zareh Gorjian and his team at JPL.

so long travel for a little dirt, he..nice to see anyway.
I liked the atmosphere before launch, It seems like it could be the ogo taiki
plugin in action, not sure thou.

mars here we come, only a couple of years to go and I sure hope the astronauts donīt get any trouble with the toilets on the voyage.

It must be getting pretty crowded out there if the tourists are resorting to photographing each other... :D

Are we going to see something about this on the front page? Looks newsworthy to me!

You know it's just occurred to me, that picture could easily be a blue bottle fly on a huge steaming pile!

that is a very cool animation. It's amazing to think of all the automation that has to happen in the right sequence and the timing for that whole operation to work. I've seen better pictures though.

only crit is the scooping of the dirt. looked kinda fake and tarnished my view from there on. but super cool to know that it was all lightwave.

I'm pretty sure that the same team that faked the moon landing is faking this new Pheonix 'mission' also!!!

(oh yeah, I'm kidding if anyone didn't know...)
Blows my mind that we can land this little guy on the surface of Mars! Just think what we'd be doing if we kept the space going all through the 80's and 90's!!

No, mission is not faked, but photos, if they have anything of extraterrestrial origin on them will be retouched
