In layered gradients, the Slope input works so that 0 is a flat surface and 1 is a vertical - so 0 degrees to 90 degrees.

The nodal gradient's slope works the opposite way, so it seems.....?

Or is my thinking on this skewed, ie. I misunderstand the significance of the 0 to 1 range?

Thanks.

Julian.

I layered gradient, the slope value is not exactly an angle,
but rather the inverted Y component of the surface normal.

Just to confirm,
I reported it.
