Wow, I love the design and textures. How about a couple more angles?

Looks like it could be a real car from this angle rather than one that flies..super work :thumbsup:

Ps +1 for the more angles :D

i mean for me is it in the moment not 1000% clear in what a lighning and surface style that car is best represented....

but i love the shape ....

here also some open gl shoots/angles....( the "final" is minimal different)

Awesome stuff, just love the surfacing. Any pointers on the approach you used for the super shiny metallic paint stuff?

One teeny tiny suggestion!

I think the yellow and black version REALLY needs a wasp or hornet logo instead of a fish!

Like I said, gorramn purrty, lovely bit of work, I'd buy one of those (if they existed - and if I could afford it :p)

What you need is one of these.............

There's also a russian company developing an idea more similar to this model and trying to make it really affordable.
I'm sure it will happen in our lifetime (fingers crossed!)

I like the design and model, safari (so goody) but there seems to be a crease running up the glass of the cockpit, probably from mirroring.

Here is a company making a plane that is roadable. Not really a 'flying car' but the plane, can fold it's wings up and drive to your garage. It'll run around 130,000 or something like that and you'd need a 'sport pilot's license'. I did their graphics a while back and in the process of giving them some updated images based on the current design.

I love your design though, very sexy looking. I like the orange colors the best hehe.

If I understand correctly, you would let us use this model? That would be stunning! Even the surfaces would be a major assett.

It's always fun to see your work....you have a great understanding of texturing and lighting and it shows in everything you do.

Keep creating and my eyes might fall out of my head :P

Brilliant work as always!:thumbsup:

Looks great!! Very cool concept. Any chance we could see a bit more about the lighting or texturing setup?

safarifx
05-18-2008, 12:03 PM
@william

my understanding between texturing and lighting comes from my produced audiostuff....light is also only a waveform...and i can heard the light...i hope you know what i mean.....

@multipass

the light set up is very simple. i use one area light in top and a hdri map with the render option final gathering.the contact shadow under this car is a ambient occlusion plug in.

you will it find here >>

here a open gl screenshoot from this scene.

@william

p.s.

you can mastering "lightwaves" in the same way you mastering "audio waves"...you have the frequences and you have limiting factors. a limiting factor is the characteristic from a Texture/surface. for example...how many light can
my surface "eat" before she goes to hell ;) ?...if you think that in audio parameters mean that 0 db or +6 db....give you more loudness=Intensity to your audiostuff or you Texture/Surface goes that sh*t to the devil...you have also in all ways a "defined range" to play with the parameters of "waves"....what for a wave that is is not so important....

Nice Car. I am just wondering what makes it fly. It looks to me that it would be better suited for going under water. Like a submarine car.

@lesterfoster

the airshark was powered by a "antigrav".....this mean "anti gravitation engine"...
