Im playing around with dynamite 1.2 lite, and I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial showing how it was used on the show 24, I know there is the video on the newtek site, but Im not sure that gives me indepth information.

osx v10.5
intel mac dual quad 3.0

Where are you struggling? With a decent PFX setup, the fire shader should just work very nicely (with metaball mode for the volumetrics to avoid the blobby look). Enable random rotation to get decent rolling effects in the smoke/fire.

whats the big difference with the free and the retail version? I didn't see any documentation on the site.
anyone compare with fumefx?

Full version provides fluids. The lite version provides shading similar to HVs. The demo version provides fluids, but puts heavy coloured noise all over the rendered effect.

This has been talked about in some threads here, check this thread and perhaps my post, number five.


basicly dynamite voxels directly on polyons for the mushroom top, no fluids involved, Lightwaves hypervoxels for the stem on some morphed points.

mushroom top is animated with some unknown control, but check my post
how it can be done.

IS 1.2 - 32bit still broken ?

Works for me here under XP SP2 and also now SP3. I'm not sure why it doesn't for some.
