Hello.

Is there any way in Modeler to display the XYZ axis thingy like in Layout? I prefer to work in the perspective view but can't seem to lock out the axises (axi?) that I want. Below is a couple of snapshops the the thing I want to see and use in Modeler.

Thanks

not unless you are a newtek programmer.

transform widgets (or whatever anybody else calls them)
are not currently available in Modeler in the capacity you have described.
its a design philosophy issue that is deep in the core of modeler and layout.

the widget acts at an object level, at the pivot of the object (or layer, which has basically become the same thing as an object these days) in Modeler, there is no Object level interaction, the pivot is (generally speaking of course) the center of the local 3-d cartesian coordinate grid, and it is only implied... which means you don't really use the pivot for anything in modeler.

this may change in the future, but for now... no luck.

The closest thing to that is the 'Rove' tool, which can be found under 'Modify' Tab 'More' popup in Modeler

That is what I thought. Thanks for the info. Now I won't have to tear my hair out looking for something that isn't there. :bangwall:
