Request: Character Riggers/Animators

I've always been a big fan of the 10 Second club and when it went away it was a shame...but I'm happy to see there is an 11 Second club:
http://www.11secondclub.com/

I'd love to see some LightWave artists join in on the monthly contests and one way we can make this easier is if we can get a few LightWave rigged characters in their resource section:

http://www.11secondclub.com/resources/

I'm Working up a character atm that I think will be a good fit, but it would be cool to see several.

Anyone up for the task?

Thanx in advance!

-William

Awesome...you'll have no issues with your skills. Let me know if you need meshes...let's get lots of options for LW artists!

Hi William, While you're at it, would you mind finding something that might be appropriate to post here (http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?p=696592#post696592)?

If you could that would be great. I want to get a sub-d workshop going to share ideas. Thanks. :)

My post on CGTALK per this topic: I've just recently been joining the forum and presently going through Jason Ryan's Ramp Up videos (and as soon as the sites up, his tutorials too). He's using Maya, but has a brief maya overview video. The ramp up videos are fantstic, so I'm very much looking forward to the final tutorials, and eventually translating the principles back to LightWave (got nothing but love for LW). As soon as I can do that...I'll join the monthly contests.

It's really a great forum, you got guys like Jason Ryan (Animation Supervisor at Dreamworks), many Animation Mentor students & grads, etc. who post, and I too would love to see more LW artist on!

I also posted a link to the AM like models & rigs found on the SpinQuad forum sometime back, on one of the threads: http://www.11secondclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=539

Hey, did anything happen with this? I suck at character design and rigging, but it looks like fun to have a go at the anim. No Lightwave content though... It someone wanted to submit a decent model/rig to work with, it would give be really, erm, nice???

Thanks for that. Wondering why there are not in the "Resources" section on the site though (makes them a bit hard to find).... Has anyone contacted them, and asked for the rigs to be put up there?

Wow, a new club - I always wanted to have a go at the 10 second club. My rigging knowledge of LW is still practically zero though. Are you allowed to animate with someone else's rig and model in these things??

I too would be happy to see LW generated material there ... and evrywhere :)

Sure you can animate with someone else's rig. The focus is on animation, not rigging, or modeling.

Proton, due to copyright issues, all of my characters are owned by TV Globo, but I can rig other's characters. No problem.

Let me know if I can help in this matter.

Cheers!
