I read in 20 questions that 3DA was getting updated to take advantage of features in LW9. What does that mean?

I saw you demoed the Sports Ammo pack.. Can we get a video here? There is even a price for it ($295) on the Newtek PDF file in the other forums.

These forums do not seem to get as much love as some of the other NT products...where's the love, man?

Yes we are updating 3DA to work on LW9 code base.
This gives us many new features.

Here are just a few:
Better quality renders.
Easier to use interface.
New content.
Better OpenGL support for previews.
All files show up in requesters without using the files of type pop-up.
All system fonts show up in "easy text" without loading any fonts.
There is a pre and post behavior for anims and sequences.
New motion blur.
Render Q for rendering multiple scenes at once.
Plugins are auto scanned for easier install.

We will get a sports ammo video up here as soon as possible.
It is really cool stuff and. created by talented LW artists instead of me and Ralph. lol

This is just the beginning.

cool, will there be any changes for those of us who own the 'content package for owners of Lightwave?'

I don't think so.
All ammo for 3DA should work with LW but we are still working out all the issues so I will let you know asap.

Will 3DA 2.0 be available as a set of plugins for 9.5, as 3DA has currently?

Yes, we are planning a content only version as well for LW 9 owners.
The new Sports ammo pack will be 7.5 compatible, but from that point on we will require either 3DA stand alone based on 9 or LW9
