What kind of scene effect are you trying to do more specific?

the image processing glow in lightwave donīt affect hypervoxels (volume)
what I know of.
you can get a kind of glow effect using image processing bloom thou, but
that is dependent on what kind of Light you are using together with the hypervoxel and angle and position of the light.

But I think most people use compositing programs such as Aftereffects or fusion
to do and control glows in post process.

Are you using volume,surface or sprites?

What I did to get the glow effect on my serenity model was to parent an area light to the null(which was inside her reactor) This gave a nice volumetric effect within the reactor, and the HV sprites that escaped the reactor in a whisp of smoke was illuminated in the same way. It was a nice effect though I don't know what you're looking for. I turned the opacity way down and the and the illuminosity up a bit. You might also try to mess with the glow settings. Play around with it. You'll figure something out. Sorry I've said too much about nothing at all. Wish I could be more help.

Prometheus, I'm using volume! I have a load of black wires that I want to have a black glow.

Have you thought about doing it in comp? You're talking about rendering volumetrics and playing with glow? It takes a long time to render volumetrics. I think it would be a lot smarter to create the glow in comp. Just a thought.
