View Full Version : miss shadows in renders

I just set up a simple scene with front projection. I have a flying saucer casting shadows on a ground plane. No problem. Everything looks good. I did a test render. Came out good.

However, when I rendered out the animation, there was no shadow. I rendered to a quicktime .mov file. No good.
I rendered out to a series of frames (JPGs) - no good. I cannot see the shadow, yet when I render (f9) one frame, I can see the shadow!

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the render

Can't say I've ever had this problem - wierd!
Question, if you change the shadow / light type - does the problem still exist? Just worth a shot, though better to render out a low res test to save time for this. ;)

You could render them out as frames and then compile the animation. I've never seen that either.

But with something funky like that I usually just try and reboot. And if that does not work I delete the LM9 config. (back it up of course)

I'll try and change the shadow type.

I already rendered out individual frames. It doesn't matter if its a .mov file or if its jpegs.

Weird is right!

I'm going to reboot now.
