View Full Version : Saving images before Image Filters?

I've checked this forum and other places, but couldn't find a decent answer to this question.

My question is if there is an option to save an render before an image filter is applied, so it's easier to compare 2 or more renders. So I can for instance save an image before Virtual Darkroom is applied.(or show both renders in Image viewer)

Could be that this is already possible in Lightwave, but how?

Thanks in advance,
Costanel

There's a Lightwave Buffer called Pre-effect Render,
it is accessible in PSD export (not tested).

Sure.
Save the pic.
Reload it into the image editor. Double-click the preview image; you should now have two of the same pic loaded into the preview editor.
Apply VD to one; use pageup and pagedown to compare.

ASA Buffer saver comes with a Pixel Filter and an Image Filter version.

If you are PC, you could also move the current color render
to the Raw Color Buffer in the Pixel Filter node editor,
and save the Raw buffer with the classic LW Save Buffer
as a Pre-Effect render.
