View Full Version : UV in openGL looks fine but in render is messed up

so the title says it all...I don't have the object here but if necessary I'll post it here tomorrow...
It's a soccer ball and the problem is with the stitches. I'm creating the stitches area with a bump map painted in photoshop. And I have this uvmap with subpatch interpolation across discontinuous edges. It shows great in opengl but when I render it's messed up. As anyone had this problem? how to fix this? Changing the model's subpatch to catmull clark seems to fix this but I want to use the standard subpatch because catmull-clark is messing up another uvmpa I have...

I had this once, there was an extraneous UV map that was unrelated. When I deleted it the render issue went away. Very annoying very strange.
