View Full Version : Tank track animation....relativity

Ok...ive found some fab tuts to animated track (proton-i think:thumbsup:) ...heres my attempt.

Ive essentially created a morph and used relativity to drive the tracks!

Works nice....except the only problem is that its a little hit and miss regarding the velocity at which the whole thing moves in relation to how fast the track turns. Ie, the morph loop needs to accelerate at the same speed.

Is here a way of controlling this?

Ok-ive managed to balance this correlation by tweaking the scale....looks loads better.

However..the movement is so far linear and isnt very convincing. If i change the channels in the graph editor to TCB spline with a tension of 1, the velocity and turn rate looks good-but the tracking gos bonkers....argh!

Any suggestions are most appreciated
