View Full Version : Rendition Bug-- doesn't see surface colors from the lwo.

I've loaded a couple of lwo objects... the software isn't displaying the surface color as set in lightwave.

I realize it can see UV maps, but I'd expect it to also see the basic polygon color as well as all the other surface attributes.

as long as they are basic properties, as in no gradients, procedurals and so on they should get picked up.

when brining in LWOs its usualy best to freeze the meshes and bake the surfaces.

No layers of any sort. So, I'd still say bug.

To have to freeze and bake each object will severely diminish the practical usefulness of this software. I don't know where the functionality line is between Rendition and Photoshop, but obviously the more you push over to the Rendition side the better.

If I have to freeze and take the time to bake surfaces, then re-bake as I see the need to tweak or adjust then I might as well just render out of Lightwave and comp back into Photoshop.

So, if there's anything you can do to give Rendition more muscle, that'd be very worthwhile for the user.
