Hi everyone...
It's bean a long time, but what to do... if you like your job so much, then I guess you shouldn't be paid to do it

here is a development that was done in a bout 4 week from scratch, it is in an area South Bahrain close to the F1 track, this just got launched this week. the models on screen are 7.5 mill, GI on, and over 2 GB of images, modeling was built on both LW and Modo, and there was sculpting in ZB. Big thanks to the developers that help create good aps that helps the artist to day to achieve a heavy load in such short time, Newtek, Luxology, Pixologic big thanks, also Plugins like Sumatra helped me to do things in no time, also big thanks to Infinimap Pro for the extension it gave me on gave load, and to my good friend in Malaysia ASO for the great modeling support , and mellostudio for the nice creative sounds...

The video is Just a teaser for the final animation, it was designed to be looping in the back ground only, hopefully the final would have everything in it hop you enjoy...

LW if Khalid used infiniMap (and he does mention that he did).

Gorgeous work as always...

Cheers,
Mike

I'm scared... :stumped: Man... How many millions of polygons have a scene like this? 7.5 mill of polygons? With or without HD instance?

Thank you guys happy to here all that... and I feel the best part was that is was done in 4 weeks, a few years back I would have done it in at least 3 to 4 months...

am... no HD instance, as to my knolidge it is not supported after 8.5 ... otherwise I would have got it-!!

Thanks Mike for your cool plugins... it really make a difference ;)

Graham released HDInstance 2.0 a few weeks ago, and it supports LW up to 9.3.1 at least...

Thanks Mike for your cool plugins... it really make a difference ;)
Thanks...

Cheers,
Mike

Fantastic work Khalid. I had seen your aerial views before, and the atmosphere was unfamiliar ... was in Australia earlier this year and flew through Dubai, and have to say you are spot on.

Really nice atmosphere.

Regarding HD I 2.0, perhaps it could help with your people, given the new animation offsets (http://www.mediafire.com/?x1hp9wtzng0) .. (Pooby's test at 2 seconds per frame, 5 offsets)

Awesome images of course (and I love the lighting), but how did you get LW to render the scenes with that amount of images and polygons? What kind of machine spec are you running?

BTW I don't agree with your first statement... if you like your job so much, that means you have PASSION for what you do (and your work oozes passion): PASSION + SKILL = QUALITY, and I believe people should be well paid for quality work :)

Just my two penneth worth anyway.
