does anyone know of a good free (i'm a cheapskate!) image host. One that doesn't have any weird things like, limited bandwidth or stuph like that.

Very rare I guess, also if anyone knows of a place were I can host downloadable files, like animations. That would be great!

something that doesn't require you to create a web site would be nice, as well. i don't have the time for it right now, and don't want to have to do something cheesy, just to get the space.

You can put 10 pics in the Lightwave Group Gallery...

is there nowhere we can just store pics without strings? i checked a bunch that were listed on CGTALK, but they all required that you to jump thru one hoop or another. is there no equivalent to a 'self storage' place on the net?

I use Village Photos (http://www.villagephotos.com/). The free accounts are pretty limited in space and bandwidth, but it's free and it works for me.
I think just about all of the freebie no-strings-attached places have gone the way of the dinosaur.

If you do, you can pick up a free no-ip.org account at http://www.no-ip.com and then use the dynamic updater to essentially host your own stuff on your own computer! What's really cool too is that you can use http://us.tt 's free accounts and tie it to the no-ip account... so that you get a free visitor tracker out of it too! :) and no popups! (popups do show up when you go to us.tt, but not on the actual account that you get - just on the signup page)
