ok im making a robot arm, but im having some trouble with the ik, i cant seem to get it to work for the life of me. This is the first time ive tried anything like this so i dont rele have any idea. can anyone lend a helping hand?? i just want it so when i move the wrist the elbow bends and moves just as if it were using bones??

Set the motion options of the elbow/shoulder to be pitch controller>IK and for the wrist, set goal object as some null object. Have Full time Ik on and it should work.

I had a mess about with IK last weekend. Dodgy pretty much covered it, but you also need to make sure that the arm parts are parented properly (I forgot to parent and wondered why nothing was happening :o ). I'm not sure if you've done that already so ignore me if you have :p

i figured it out, i did the parenting the wrong way, the hand was at the top of the heirachy when it was meant to be the shoulder!
