View Full Version : Blown out diffusion with Occlusion Node

Greetings LW'ers . . .

Recently had to find a faster workaround to GI for an animation and got by with using an Occlusion node. I've seen tutes where someone plugs into the luminosity channel but that seems to get way to hot and not nearly as bad if going into the diffuse channel - but still pretty blown out. Still very new to nodes . .. so was wondering if there is a setting somewhere to get control back on diffuse?

I use it in the diffuse channel, or do an Occlusion only pass and comp it.

The Occlusion shader usually needs a gradient in the mix to control it's power.
