Hi all, I'm upgrading to a new Mac and I'm selling my mint dual 2.7 gig G5 desktop that I use
for 3d modeling and animation for $1200.00 with a 19" monitor. Does this sound like a fair price?

Some more specs on it would be nice...as in how much RAM and what size GFX card...but it definitely sounds like a decent price.

The computer is pretty much stock. It has 2.5 gigs of ram, airport extreme card, and the stock 9600 ati card. I think with monitor $1200.00 sounds fair to me. It also has 1 month of Applecare left. I plan to sell it locally.

If you're looking to price it, your best bet is to check eBay and Craigslist and see how much comparable hardware is selling for there. $1200 sounds about right, though.

Sounds well to me. Maybe...even hike it up a bit? A new base configuration iMac costs $1200.

$1200 sounds a touch low to me too, I'd buy it if I had the cash (and the space for it)

Why not keep it as a rendering node or modeling station, unless you need the sales cash to get the new one.

I really don't have the room for it and a second monitor or I would.
