I keep getting a weird flicker
on my character surface.
Here is a sample-avi (top view):

the neck/shoulder area have these blinking squares, this problem is also there in other areas of the model.

Any suggestion ?:confused:

I can think of a few things it might be, co-planar polygons, smoothing not turned on, or sub-division of the character not set to 'last'

not sure about this but is your model freezed or sub-d? if its freezed and the bones try and manipulate the mesh it wont appear smooth. i think....

I can't watch the video because it's a codec that is not supported by Quicktime6 on my G4, and I'm too lazy to start up my windows box.

Sounds to me like a rendering issue that I have run into with LW before.

I use subD A LOT... and I found myself getting these odd black squares showing up on the surface. Turns out, LW has a bizarre problem rendering a model composed mostly of four point polys. Once you triple them... the rendering error... gone.

So, if you haven't already, save your current model, then freeze and triple. If the rendering error continues, well, I'll look at it next time my windows box is running.
