Hi guys!

Here are some practical purpose of the CG model I did in Lightwave. At first I exported it to IGES so that Laser Prototyping will do the model but due to costing price I hired a sculptor to sculpt the car base on the CG. Here's the pics. some more image of the final product on my website www.rodnymella.com (http://www.rodnymella.com) :lwicon:

Because you already have a "real" model that is uncannily similar to your CG model and only assuming that you actually have it, I would suggest that you make a mold using the toy, then use that to create a clay base for the sculptor (or whatever material they use these days). It would definately cut down on the price I would imagine.

Oops, Sorry! I might have not explained very well.

What do you mean I have the real model? The model you see here is the product I did. It was from scratch, from clay basically. Before hand I did a CG renders for a racing team and then my client decided to produce a miniature size.

Here's the process we did first from the draft of CG model in Lightwave, then sculpted in clay, then molded. LP is very expensive so I opt for hand sculpting instead.
