Has anyone had any luck with incorporating Lightwave files into Adobe Acrobat's new 3D Pdf format?
Here is a link if you don't know about it yet.

I havn't tried it, but it seems like it supports the .lwo format so it shouldn't be that hard, or?

Try the measure tool snaps!

I think theirs are better than most 3d programs I know ...

I've used this EXTENSIVELY in 3ds Max, and i thought it looked cool before i began.

Turns out there are plenty of issues. (Or there were about 6 months ago when i did the work). Most of the issues are down to the file format they chose to use, and that it hardly supports anything of use. U3d is possibly the worst format that Adobe could have chosen, ever, when Collada and FBX are around anyway!

Has anyone heard of any changes to file formats etc?

We've been using Deep Exploration along with their free Deep View app. We just open our LW model in Deep Exploration Direct it to our image maps for any textures and save it as a righthemisphere format and we can then embed them into a word file or powerpoint. Not sure if we can get it into PDF but I'll have to explore that. Anyway not sure if it's any cheaper but it works.
