Just curious if anyone who's going to be at SIGGRAPH wants to learn the new LightWave[8] techniques for things like dynamics and character rigging? :)

That's cool but what about those if us that can't attend Siggraph?

Cheers,

Uh, wouldn't it be assumed that they are showing LigtWave 8 @ Siggraph and want to let those users who are attending take it for a ride?

Uh...uh....uh....yeah....

I can't imagine Newtek not doing exactly this (LW8 walkthrough) at the SIGGRAPH booth, but if someone's collecting numbers to see if they warrant an evening session or some such, count me in for a seat.

btw: I hadn't realized there were (specifically) dynamics and rigging upgrades in the new release, but I am not unhappy to hear this.

Well, I won't be at Siggraph, but I'd still like to see what the new [8] stuff is all about... Gonna bring some of that with you on the LW World Tour? :)

I won't be able to get there, but I hope there will have a big detailled sum-up of all the new features of LW8 on NT site, and some video too. 'Cause I CAN'T W8 !!!! :)

I will train someone for free if you live in the houston area - First one is always free ......

Opps that would have to be on 7.5c as 8 is not yet in that state.;)

I would be drooling just to see a feature list or screenshots of LW8. Does anyone know if it will be announced at SIGGraph, or do we have to wait until 2004? Can't wait to get to SIGGraph and see what's going on...

Hey Larry. I attended the Orlando LW workshop master class back in 99 or whenever it was just after L6 came out. I'll be at Siggraph next week. What day would you be conducting this class (28,29?) Anyways, you're a good instructor. See you there.

I live in Spring, TX. If you can offer this training when LW8 does come out, I would love to attend. I'm already familiar with LW7.5

Locutus, I am in Cypress so the drive on FM 2920 or SpringCypress Rd. should be a breez! Well what I am willing to do is share what I know with ya as project flow/ deadlines allow. My work is is mostly Architectureal renderings and such do a search and see what I have posted. If you are interested I can get you going in the right direction.

" The first one is free" whatever that means.

The free LightWave[8] classes will be on the 28th, not the 26th.

There are other classes on the 26th - also free, and they should be good.

Thanks Lee,
I should have clarified that:
There are FREE LW classes on the 26th
AND
There are FREE LW[8] classes on the 28th.
Both are separate events.
