Oh I wish...

*rides his current, ray-traced lights project down into the smoothest crash-landing he can*

S'awright, it's only gonna be in front of the entire family readership of the Mail on Sunday, that's only about 15, maybe 20 million people....

*eeep*

today? :D

Hopefully sometime this week. BTW, what is your avatar? it looks a bit like the work of Johji Manabe, but also a lot like the work of Rumiko Takahashi.

My avatar is Inuyasha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InuYasha) :D

Ah! I was thinking Inu Yasha, but I wasn't sure about the stripes so I just said Rumiko Takahashi. Thanks. BTW If you've only seen the english dub of Inu Yasha they pronounce everyone's names wrong, check the subtitled one.

If you guys ask where the beta is at one more time, I'll turn this car around and we'll all go back home. You can forget about getting that happy meal as well.

How DARE NewTek delay, and delay and delay! This update cost me a FORTUNE! In fact, it's cost me as much as it did to press "space" between that exclamation point, and the start of the next sentence.

To whit, nothing. Not a gh0d-damned thing.

Grow up, you lot.

You know... As inconvenient as it is to hear of a Beta Announcement in February and still be waiting to get my grubby little paws on it in March... I doubt I'm going to lose any sleep over it or whinge and whine like a Creationist at an Evolutionary Biology seminar.

I can wait a little while longer.

IMHO they should do what some other companies do and delay releasing any public info on a release until the product really is ready to "go" and they have a lot of PR to go with it. One week ahead of the real release is more than enough to contact 99% of the rabid NewTek user and fan base...why they choose ambiguous months...I don't know...it just frustrates people...

Bog

Yes, they should also charge for each point release, mercilessly censor their own forums and have lengthy 3D animation clips in their corporate showreel because those animations were edited on a Toaster, not because they were rendered in LightWave.

They should include also clips made with other programs, and say it was made with LW. It's so common in the industry that nobody cares.

What kills me are the VFX shots in the Autodesk reel for their color grading and editing programs...you'd think they'd stick to Maya or Max-only shots to display but they don't. They'll show a shot with editing in Avid, modelling in Lightwave, compositing in Shake and color grading in Lustre. Makes perfect sense to me, yeah.
