Ummm, #5. Oh yeah.

You know, ten or fifteen or more years ago my mother used to tell me "don't do things just because other guys are doing it". I'm doing this just because other guys are doing it. I'm hoping there's a reason.

And why not... the same group that was jumping from a bridge when I was a kid were the same group of idiots that dumped all their cash into Dell stock in 1993. Sometimes... ya just gotta be a lemming...it pays off.

(and yes.. someone skipped #6 ... bastards!)

OK ummm yeah #8.

Counting down until the link magically appears in my Newtek registration page at 12:01 AM on March 1st. As of now I have about an hour and twenty minutes to go.

This is like waiting to watch the Big Apple fall, only better.

Meanwhile, I've updated it in the text below my avatar.

You know what, it's now 8:32 AM, and I don't see anything in my page that remotely says "9.5 Open Beta Download".

Bummer.

I'm spoiled.

Well meanwhile you could try the 9.4.5 OB, although the hair plugin is called Five o'clock shadow, and the spherical light is kind of rectangular, and it only has IS lights (no E), but still it's kind of interesting. :D

Plenty of fun, you can shun 69 all you like and it will never get the courage to insult you back, damn 69! Suggesting other meanings in peoples minds when people read this! SHAME ON YOU 69! SHAME!

YAY! I am 18 again, I am currently 19 YR Old so it is glad to be a year younger. I am 20 this year! GAH!

PS. Still shunning you 69!

LOL .. I just ripped "Gig" to my mp3 list yesterday... along with some Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedy's, Clash, and some early Adam Ant stuff. Good tunes.

I still have the original 75's of the Clash before they started producing enough interest to make 33's.

Note - For those of you that are too young to know what a "75" or a "33" is... shame on you.. :-P

Finally something familiar (speaking about music)! I have Kennedies and Circle Jerks in my playlist too.
But my favourite are Bad Religion !!! :jam: Someone here likes them too?

Hehe - you reminded me, our village school dinner lady was Adam Ant's auntie and Matt Belgrano was a local lad too (same school). Funny to think one of punk's pin-ups was from a 'nice' little Shropshire market town...

Going through my early Stranglers stuff at the moment...quality :D First record (12" EP) was The Thorn, Souxsie and the Banshees...ahhhh...in fact, Siouxsie...ahhhhh....

As you can see by my sig I'm more of a Robert Fripp, King Crimson, Bowie, Eno and Peter Gabriel fan but I do have a number of Punk/Post Punk items in my collection, every thing from Bach to Rock, I'm currently listening to El Reloj, David Sylvain, Clan of Xymox, Bauhaus, King Sunny Ade, Dead Can Dance, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Fela Kuti. oh and The Electric Prunes.

If interested http://www.dgmlive.com/index.php And Fripp did the MS Vista sounds.

Excellent choice in music danielkaiser. I like some of the stuff you posted there.

Like Clan of Xymox, Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance.

Dig any Wumpscut? If you haven't heard of these bands, I highly recommend them...

Wolfsheim, Haujobb, Panzer AG, Project Pitchfork (Yeah!), Mentallo & the Fixer (Also Yeah!), Diary of Dreams. All good stuff.

Kopperdrake, you like Faith and the Muse as well? Just asking, since you seem to like Siouxsie. :)

Wow .. now that's some cool trivia. Too bad him and Eno didn't design the interface. It would probably look like something from Salvador Dali - very cool.

What a coincidence, I listened to some Wumpscut today in my car! I like all the bands that you listed, but I never heard the Mentallo & the Fixer

I take it you mean 45s, as I don't think any of them were old enough to put out 78s.

Either way, nice selection of bands there Hopper

Aye, Muse are stonking :D Definitely music to sing at the top of your lungs to - love long VW journeys with the stereo bumped up (in fact you made me bung on Absolution and it's proving perfect for some mindless modelling ). I don't have any Faith though - I'll give them a go! Muse remind me of an upbeat early radiohead, you don't get the same urge for self-harm ;)

Wumpscut, I'll have to try them out, all ways open to new sounds and hey their German, got a soft spot for that kraut stuff, I am a Kaiser.

Also Eno did the Win95 or 98 wave file, and for all you fanboys out there he wrote it on a Mac.

Instead of Aero we could call it The Vista Melt Interface.

For those of you too young to know what a 78 is.. Well, lucky you ;)

Any of the London posse tried Resonance on 104.4 yet?

Best radio station in the world. For example on Fridays, I think, 3.00 or 3.30 pm. They play early twentieth century sound recordings. Last week was industrial machinery. A very eclectic range of music not heard anywhere else.
A piano piece by Marcel Duchamp, amazing.

Doh! 78 .. not 75. See, I'm gettin old. I can't even remember. Started mixin my 45's with my 78's. :bangwall:

I have only three 45's left... (after my wife put all my vinyl in the attic by mistake (Texas heat - they didn't last long).

Gary Numan's "Cars" (B-side "Metal" = awesome)
Blondie's "Heart of Glass"
and Adam Ant's promo cut "Nine Plan Failed"

I think they stick to CDs these days. So far they had only one release (i think) in 00's
