saw one at Fry's, but couldn't find anything on the system that actually worked with it...

It'll be cool if it actually gets support.

It looks a little uncomfortable to use. No wrist rest? A little pinchy thing you grip with your fingertips?

I think it looks pretty cool. It says it give you touch and force feedback. I'm not sure it'll catch on as a mainstream device, but the technology is definitely interesting.

At $239, it's certainly more capable of becoming mainstream than the alternative...ClayTools.
Perhaps if enough interested people contacted the the developer, they might look into developing drivers for the device that can be used on common 3D programs, as well as others like Solidworks and such.
Looks like it could be well worth it at that price.

For only $60 dollars the 3DConnexion Naviagator is a great 3D input device, only downfall is that it does not work with Lightwave. Upside it does work with XSI, MAX, MAYA, C4D, Blender. Maybe Newtek should get up to speed and offer support for this.
