This thread is for sample images and animations from v9.5. No other posts are allowed on the thread. Any commentary can be posted in the other available discussion threads on the v9.5 topics. Off-topic posts will be deleted; repeated off-topics posts to the thread will get the offender a temporary or permanent ban.

We do encourage that new v9.5 images also be shared on the existing threads or new threads for full discussion, but for those who just want to see the images without commentary, this will be the place.

Edit: Images are sized to 800x* for posts 2-10 for this thread so render times are not necessarily correct - BeeVee

Edit: But images from post 11 onwards have been specifically rendered at 900x* so render times will be exact :) - BeeVee

Here is my contribution. I rendered this image for a previous job in F-Prime primarily due to the fact that LW's radiosity render was too slow and frankly just couldn't hack it. This scene would have taken all night with F-Prime on my older machine but with the new radiosity renderer I can now manage images of this nature and at the quality I was getting with F-Prime. Frankly in this respect, I am really impressed with this aspect of LW's development. This image rendered 22 minutes at HDTV 1920X1080 on a quad core intel Mac....

IES lights, some reflection blurring, disk cache in use, 20 minutes at 1024x768 on a lowly 6300. Bit crappy car model though...

and it's short animation using GI disk-caching....
It took 7 minutes per frame on an older dual E6400. With full Motion blur and DOF.

this took about 25 minutes at 1600x858 with full 3 bounce GI..., 4AA, 0.03AS, full volumetreic radiosity on the instanced trees (again on dual core 6600). It uses HD instance for the trees, so you can see the new gi and hd instance work together well already. Trees and landscape is about 8.5 million polygons (instanced).
This is really really fast, folks.

Here's an animation of the dinosaur. It took about four minutes to cache the radiosity on disk, and 20 seconds per frame with motion blur after caching for 200 frames.

This hotel facade uses AA-4 and AS-0.05 (Could probably go with lower settings for faster times since the BUMP map is taking most of time in AS (last render took 35 min on AS) but it's OK for STILLs). Stats are 297K polygons , 3 images (texture with very high bump maps (rocks on facade) and 119 lights in scene.

Also attached a screenshot showing the IES lights used for the facade.

This took 30 min on my usual 8-core 1.86 GHz machine (which is only 20% faster than a 3.0 GHz quad).

Also attached a small test anim with cache, seems to work great.
4-6 min /frame on a 8 core @1.86, good timing I'd say.
