Howdy All,

I want to make a scene background that mimics the New York Stock Exchange big board where the acronym and value for each stock is made up of lighted dots to form each letter/number. I don't want to build each letter/number individually because there will be too many. Does anyone know of a font that is made in this style?

IFW would be the quickest, slickest and most complete solution here.
I believe Denis has a free texture that does this, as well.

IFW has me stumped as well. There's a font called "Synchro" which might have the look you're trying to get. There are actually a lot of free bitmap-ish fonts that might serve your purpose--try browsing

Sorry 'bout that. ;) ;)

Right there, on this page, is an example of some digital text as you speak of.

Denis is a texture guru, as well.

That help?

Thanks Robert and Giacomo, those are good resources.

I also found this:

I didn't realize how easy it is to add new fonts. Old dog, new tricks...:D

So, Tom,
You really just wanted a font? Not the ability to scroll like the stock exchange?

Lots of fun new tricks out there...

Um, yes, all I wanted was a font. :D

Odd how really simple things can go undiscovered. In the scene these stock values will just be randomly positioned in the background of a business related cartoon. Would love to do the scroll, but we don't seem to have true broadband internet in the US yet...

If you haven't used them, and only going by what you read, it's even more amazing upon first use. I have to admit to not using the built-in textures too often as I can do A WHOLE LOT MORE with these. Easily, no less.
And Richard is awesome about giving us more and being engaged with his user-base.
Denis... Well, Denis is an awfully bright guy who has given some truly awesome plugs to the LW user-base. His nodal-motion plugs are crazy-cool!!

The BEST thing about the both of these guys offerings is that the VT crowd can use all of this stuff without having to worry about needing a lw dongle.

Sweet, I'm definitely going to be adding that to my "Things to buy" list.
