Want a comet flying through space (where else?!) it will be coming directly to the camera…

I’ve not used particle emitter etc…anyone got any thoughts has to making a comet tail? Will be for cinema screen…

Two particle emiters, hypervoxels, fairy dust.
One for smoke, the other for debris.

also, comet's tail is always aimed away from the sun - NO MATTER WHAT ITS TRAJECTORY IS.

its tail can be shooting 90 from the path of its travel in other words and portraying it as such makes it distinctly like a comet and not some generalized "space fireball".

and the trail of particulate matter is basically stuff jetting off the iceball because of sunlight so you can take that into consideration regarding the look.

And, if it doesn't really have to be 3D, there's always Particle Illusions. They have whole libraries of space stuff already ready. :D
