i will seriously break down and cry if i don't find out how to make a 12 sided die in modeler

i know you can create a ball in the numerics page to make a d20 (20 sided die) but you can't bring the side count lower than that

if any one has any idea please HELP

Well, my first reaction is to say start with a sphere privative and model it down to the shape you want. Welding and splitting and what not. But if you're lazy (and we all are) I believe you're looking for a dodecahedron which can be made by choosing Create-Primitive-more-Platonic solid tool. Drag in a viewport to make the shape then choose dodecahedron from the numeric tool panel.

You mean a dodecahedron?

That's a bit of a brain teaser.

If you have an image to work from, the Additional/equilateral triangle plug might help. You only have to position 6, then copy or mirror.

Less work than trying to modify a sphere because the triangles are all perfect.

Doesn't anybody even read my posts? I said to make a dodecahedron from the platonic solids tool. Am I on everyone's block list or something?

A dodecahedron? That's easy, you can use the Platonic Solids tool.

Why don't you just use the platonic solids tool?

Oh wait....

I prefer the Platonic-Solids tool myself. With the dash.

I think you guys are missing the point ... you DO know you can use the Platonic Solid tool right? (I think I read that on some post around here).

Oh wait .. I forgot .. no .. wait .. that's a different thread. Or is it...
