View Full Version : importing STP, STL DWF formats?

I am trying to import a model from .STP format. I have a converter to go to other formats but i keep getting "error reading file". What is the process for importing STP,STL files?

have you tried a middleware application? Like Polytrans...
BTW dwf files are a subset of autocad dwg files. You can try progecad smart(an autocad clone) for dwf files and non-acis solids. It is free for non-commercial use, and they sell a "much-much-cheaper-than-autocad clone" version which handles almost everything the original autocad does. www.progecad.com

You can also check out Deep Exploration and one of its CAD modules for the STP files.

Nothing special about STL files and they are handled by a number of third party converters.
