Is there a simple way to create a radial gradient using nodes? I want to apply several procedurals, alphas, gradients etc. to a flat ring-shaped object, and I'm stumped on how to go about creating something that seems like it should be quite simple. :lwicon:

I'm after something like this:

One simple way would be a layer node set to gradient. Use Distance to object and select the disc. If the disc is centered on 0,0,0, the pivot point will be the center of the ring of the gradient and that will create the effect you are looking for. This could be used in conjunction with other nodes or stacking within the layer node.

Thanks Surrealist. That was exactly what I was looking for.
