Hi again every body

Just wondering, I recently animated a character walking. I used sas lite to create hair on him I clicked the cast shadows and
receive shadows option in the sas lite panel. After about 4 hours
Rendering my animation was finished BUT the characters head didnt cast the hair shadows on to the floor. The character had hair but the shadow on the floor suggested that he was bald.

Does any body know how to remedy this, if you can that would be great !!!

Many Thanks Andy Gee !!!  :D :p

Sas Lite only has "Receive Shadows," not "Cast Shadows" -- meaning shadows will onto the hair but will not be cast from it. To cast shadows, you need the full version of Sas, which costs $495.

There's a couple of workarounds. One, if you use long hair guides, you can have them cast shadows (just remember to turn on "Unseen by Camera.") This, of course, is not a perfect solution. You could also add shadows in post using a compositor.

There may also be other solutions.
