Just did this after playing with some of the LW create tools when trying to reorganise my menu layout.

( Used parametic plane to give a wavy surface, then just bevelled it to make it spikes - SubD'd it and gave it a fresnal surface. Did a separate depth render using black fog and a white texture - combined and coloured in photoshop)

And dont forget the PSD - just make you own colour combos.

I like the sub-surface scattered effect. Did you get that effect with the Fresnel shader you used? What were your settings?

The SSS looking effect is the depth render colorised and blended-in in photoshop. Take a look at the *.PSD.
