View Full Version : How to do a curved graph line on a chart

I am animating the movement of simple graph: A curved line runs up and down as it crosses a graph illustrating variation in brightness (vertical grid or "Y") of an extra-solar sun (a star in another galaxy) when one of its orbiting planets crosses in front of it and the sun's brightness (vertical grid or "Y") goes down over Time which is the horizontal grid ("X").

My customer wants the graph to curve like it should. I'm created a capsule in Lightwave and tried to curve its points but it distorts and doesn't work. Should I be using Bevel or Extend or what to make a graceful curve describe the data?

Take a look here (http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76535&highlight=arrows) for a starter.

There are a few ways to get going with this depending on what you want to do.

There is also the fertilizer plugin (http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73529&highlight=fertilizer).
