Okay This might be an easyone for you,
what is the measurement of pixels to meters.
if Im trying to have a after effects file maped onto a 1 meter by 1 meter square plain what should my ae file be in pixels?
what would 720X540 = in meters?
what is the formula I should work with?

Thanks

If you want to map a file to a 1M Square object, create a square file and output it, map it with automatic sizing to the axis it needs to display on. The resolution should be at least the same as your final output, so if you are rendering LW at 720x480, then render your AE files for 720x720, map it to the square, and allow the rendering to re-sample the AE images.

That's a guess, for motion images. Basically you want to have at least 1:1 if not better in scale/resolution, for motion. When I worked in print, a quality image (pixel-image, like photo) had at least 175 ppi for B&W newspaper work, and up to 300 ppi for full-color hi-res magazine work. Do the math and it gets scary for LW files, since 640x480 render is (full-color) only a 2"x1.5" image, printed.

But again, that's for printed, still images not motion. The top bit will cover motion pretty well, I think.
