Hey guys,

Test renders can take anywhere from an hour to 8 hours and more. I don't want to sit in front of my system for that whole time, and having to check in every 5 minutes is not a great solution. It would be nice if there was a notification program to play a *.wav file when the CPU is idle for a specified amount of time.

Anyone know of a program like this?

lol.. I wrote similar app a couple years ago that was making big noise when Internet network was down to wake me up and fix it.. :) It was every minute for so trying to connect to google.com to check connection.. Contact me privately, and we will discuss, if you're interested in making it working with LW when render is done..

It would be nice if I could change the sound of the end frame beep to something longer, but then I would have to count the beeps in a small hi-res animation.

Thanks Sensei, I'm may take you up on that!

do this kinda programs use so much resources, just wonder. I found out most of this alarm programs usually running certain amount of cpu usage.

Pinging Internet domain once per minute? It would eat less resources than moving mouse, or pressing keys on keyboard, I guess.. :)

Or if it could send you an SMS....

SMS is great idea, but every country, every operator differently.. But if program can execute commands there can be external app for sending sms.

replaceBeep on Flay. See if it's OK for you!

A beep on the end of an f10 would be great.
Replacing the default beep at the end of every frame and having an orchestra every 30 seconds would drive me nuts I guess...

A beep on the end of an f10 would be great.

I've got something cooking in that regard. Give me a few more days...

How cool! You're kinda superhero for us non-programming wavers :)
