Hi There,

Q's. How do I start recording at timecode 00:00:00:00 in DV tape?

When recording from speededit to DV player ( send to DV Tape ) it will start recording at the 3rd sec that is ( 00:00:00:03 ) on the DV tape.

At the Send To Tape Window in SpeedEdit the timecode is 00:00:00:00.

Have tried this with both SpeedEdit, in the VT5 and stand alone.

No issue when transfer to Betacam player.

Am I missing something here or what are the right steps to follow when transferring to DV Tape.

Are there any configuration in the preferences that need to be done.

Have also put a 10'sec black before 00:00:00:00 but it still start at 00:00:00:03.

BTW we are using PAL format here.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Tim

I don't think SpeedEDIT actually sends time code to the deck when sending DV to tape.

I've always had to have my DV decks in internal time code generating mode when printing to them from SpeedEDIT.

Looks like you spotted a bug.

I believe that we are starting the timecode when we start the preroll. We should be starting at -3 sec, but instead are counting from 0:00.

Thanks,
