Am I missing something or can you not use morph mixer on an object that also has curve conform applied? I need to animate a stent moving into place along a curved path and then show it expand. Trailer is too flaky and temperamental. Is there a way to get my current setup to work or would the bone chain/morph method be better?

Thats one of the problems with some deformers is that they dont play well with other deformations. I would animate a proxy object like a chain of 2pt polys. MDscan that via clothfx then use metalink morph to link the stent to it and still be able to morph.

BTW, this DVD covers a bunch of techniques like this one that would be very useful to you if you do a lot of this type of animation.
