I have a very complex object on a single layer with 8 different surfaces applied to different parts of the object. How can I select the underlying polygons of a single surface, so I can bevel the polygon, to which which the surface is applied.
Selecting all individual surfaces will take days. There must be a simple way surely, but it's not obvious to me. Any clues?

"w" then hit the space bar till it says polygon... at the bottom where it says surface... click it to select the surface then hit the + sign.

I think in LW9 they added a command that will select polygons assigned to the same surface(s) as the already selected polygon(s). If you're not on 9 yet, there should be free 3rd party plugin/script available (http://www.flay.com).
