I'll be like a kid in a toy store with unlimited funds when I see this movie...THIS is what Seuss movies should look like!

Sounds like you have some inside info. Are you involved in the making?

Blue Sky are ace - much prefer their stuff to Dreamworks' in visual style.

yeah, i need to anyhow as i have some stuff to give to craig and mike...their xmas pressies from usa venus rises crew arrived today....

we'll get back into the swing of regular user group in 2008...just that traveling to notts 4 days a week gets tiresome so a 5th trip is hard to motivate with 45min journey on a cold bus!

....err...back on topic!

....whooosh!

BlueSky does some amazing visual work - I only hope the script / story holds up. The trailer does look really nice in HD! :)

Jim Carrey and Steve Carell? Oh man, this ought to be great! I never watched many cartoons as a kid, but for some reason Dr. Seuss has always fascinated me. It's been a favorite since the first time I saw the Green Eggs & Ham book (I still have it).

If we're lucky, maybe it will spark the imagination of our own Mr. Vaughan enough to help us with a little Dr. Seuss tutorial maybe? Some character modeling perhaps? <hint hint... oh please please please please...> :santa:

yeah you got me...actually it's a single particle... a one point poly...and that really pushes my artistic skills to the max.

So, so glad they retained the DR.Seuss' look of things.

So this is Hollywoods third attempt at Dr Zeuss, and they've finally figured out he aught to be CG, what took them so long. Still can't get my head around the fact that the good Doctor Z and Raymond Chandler were neighbors and drinking buddies, ........Philip Marlow investigates The Cat in The Hat anyone?

I watched an Advanced screening of this one last Sunday, it is a hoot. My wife and I really enjoyed it, there is some fantastic animation in there too.
