Hi all,
I was just watching Mr. Vaughn's serpent tutorial video, thank you Proton!
And I've come upon a problem. Just a simple test scene with a sub-d block. But it's not following the path correctly. (See movie) Any clues as to why?

Hi Hunter, I looked at your scene and you need to change the serpent settings to end at 90 frames instead of 60.

That serpent plugin is pretty old and few features.
A MUCH better plugin is trailer from DStorm.
One nice thing about it is that you can combine it with other deformers such as bones, morphs, displacements etc.
Heres an example:

I agree with SplineGod, trailer works great (if a little quirky) -- I recently used it for a still image of a chain looping around a sphere. I could have used other methods, but it was easy to set up and manipulate.

Thanks everyone! Really need to just look closer at the settings. :o
Yeah Trailer is way better. I use it all the time at work to animate the paths of police chases over a map for use at trial. I was just checking to see if serpent had been updated any.
Thanks again.
