Ok, so I have 2 licences for Lightwave. One of them is for v8 and the other is for v9.

A friend of mine who is interested in getting into 3D stuff asked if he could have my old license for lightwave.

However, I only have one dongle.

Would there be a problem, were I to give him the old license, but not a dongle?
Is there a way I can order another one?

That would be ordering another licence. Speak to your dealer or to NewTek directly, I'm sure something can be worked out...

When you say you have two licenses, you purchased two full copies of LW?
Or
You have your old license, and you upgraded and they issued you a new license for the newer LW 9?

If you purchased two full copies then you should have two dongles.

If he is interested in getting into 3d and wants to learn LW, try the 3D arsenal, for $450 it includes LW 7.5.

Yeah, I have two licenses. I had a copy of 8.5 and then NT released a promotion saying that if you bought a copy of 8.5, you'd get Vue 5 infinite along with a free upgrade to the 9 series. It was too good for me to pass by, so I took it.

Now, I have one license for a copy of Lightwave 8.5 and another for 9.3.

So I should have a dongle then. Maybe it was in the box and I never saw it. I don't think so, though.
